Global Reach partners help Icelandic data centre build profile
Global Reach members Connect2 Communications and Johnson King are working with Verne Global, which operates the world’s first 100% renewable-energy powered data centre.
Verne Global owns and operates a wholesale data centre campus in Keflavik, Iceland. The data centre has a dual source of low-cost, geothermal and hydroelectric power, making it 100% carbon neutral.
The two agencies, which provide PR support for Verne Global in North America (Connect2 Communications) and the UK (Johnson King), focus on gaining exposure among high level national, business and trade press, where the firm’s messaging on energy issues and operating expenditure is resonating strongly. Verne Global is working closely with data centre infrastructure provider, COLT, that provides the modular data centre facilities that Verne Global’s colocation service is offered from. The company officially announced the availability of data centre services at its Keflavik site on the 5th of October, and has already announced its first customer.
